The Government of the Republic exercises executive power pursuant to the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Estonia.
The new Government lead by Prime Minister Andrus Ansip assumed office on 5 April 2007.
The Government coalition consists of three political parties: Estonian Reform Party (Eesti Reformierakond) , Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica (Isamaa ja Res Publica Liit), and Estonian Social Democratic Party (Eesti Sotsiaaldemokraatlik Erakond).
